Adventure Kart Guide-Seasonal

Guide visitors in a professional, courteous, and informative manner at Whipple Creek, while being responsible for the safety and well-being of guests during tour operations. This position is responsible for all duties associated with tours: guide, open and close of building, cleaning site and gear, and fueling karts. 

Dock Representative-Seasonal

Dock Reps are responsible for meeting and providing introductory information to all arriving guests who are on scheduled tours. Applicants must have strong customer service skills and be capable of positively representing the company to cruise lines, partners and customers.

Trail Guide-Seasonal

As an interpretive trail guide you will be an educator and entertainer who can enthusiastically provide information to our guests about the flora, fauna and history of Herring Cove and the surrounding area. Trail guides are expected to lead professional, informative tours in a variety of environments and potentially challenging conditions.

Zipline Guide-Seasonal

A Zipline Guide is responsible for instructing and leading participant groups through our zip-line course, working with another zipline guide. Applicants must have a strong risk management and customer service orientation. Qualified applicants will go through an extensive training program and must pass a written and on-the-job skill test and maintain those skills in a weekly skill test evaluation. Additional training is provided for any job functions as required.

Zipline Photographer-Seasonal

Photograph all guests as they zip through on the last line. Edit crop and sell photos when time allows between tours.  Assist store manager and clerk in the running of the store.  Take photos on the course or as needed and time allows.  Applicants should have knowledge of digital photography and some basic editing experience, be comfortable with cash handling and customer service.

Retail Sales and Customer Service-Seasonal

The Retail Sales Clerk cordially greets the guests and helps them to find one of a kind souvenir to take home. Works at the cash register and uses the Clover Point of Sale software. Helps zipline guests at the photo counter with their zipline photos. Helps maintain the guest areas including restrooms as well as the general shopping areas.  Applicants must have an outgoing personality and good customer service skills, be comfortable with handling cash and be able to understand POS system and be comfortable cross training as a barista at the coffee stand, located inside the store.

CDL Driver Guide-Seasonal

The CDL Driver Guide is responsible for the transportation of customers and crew in a safe and timely manner. Duties include a certain level of maintenance and cleaning. Commitment to safety, clean driving record and CDL License with passenger endorsement required. People skills are a must as drivers are required to provide narration. Training provided for qualified applicants.

Lead Dock Representative -Seasonal

The Lead Dock Representative is a key leadership position responsible for the coordination, planning, and management of daily tours and services provided to cruise lines and other customers. As the primary liaison between the company, cruise lines, and transportation companies, this role ensures smooth operations, quality service, and efficient communication. Applicants should have a solid background in the tourism industry and possess excellent customer service skills.

Guests Service Coordinator-Seasonal

This position is responsible for all tour groups arriving back to their ship at the scheduled time.  This individual works closely with the independent tour and dispatch desk.  This job requires an individual who is organized, prompt, can multi-task, and has high energy and enjoys working with the public.  This person is the last point of contact with the tour guests and will be responsible for making sure their transfers go smoothly.

Adventure Karts Photographer-Seasonal

Work in a place of great beauty photographing guests enjoying the ride of a lifetime. Utilize your photo skills to capture fun action shots of guests as they ride up in their Karts then walk around the group and capture stills and portrait shots. Get to see many people through a day and be a part of their Alaskan dream. You will ride out in your own Kart being prepared to spend the day photographing guests and the beauty of the inside passage.

Operations Supervisor-Seasonal

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of canopy course operations. This position requires strong understanding of and experience with canopy tour operations and training standards. Applicants must have risk management background. Qualified applicants will go through a training program and must pass written and on-the-job skill tests before hired.

Taquan Air Tour Manager

As the tour manager, you are responsible for overall flight tour operations and communications with cruise lines and third-party partners by coordinating and managing allotments, product options and correspondence. The role requires you to follow and influence others within the tour department to adhere to company Safety Management Systems (SMS) procedures and requirements. Furthermore, the role includes hiring and managing the seasonal bear guides and drivers.  Additional duties will include providing back-up services to the flight coordinator and customer service departments as needed. 

Barista - seasonal

The Barista position will contribute to the overall success of the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary Cafe, by embracing the culture valued by ARS. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, while providing quality beverages and products, and consistently maintaining a clean, engaging environment.  As a Barista at the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary, you are responsible for learning and executing Barista skills in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, and friendly demeanor. This position requires an upbeat attitude and outgoing personality, have good customer service skills, and be comfortable cross training as a Retail Sales Clerk in the gift shop.

Cafe/Bar supervisor - seasonal

This position contributes to the overall success of Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary at Kawanti Coffee and Bar by embracing the culture valued by ARS. The Cafe/Bar Supervisor oversees the daily operations of both the coffee shop and bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and adherence to company policies. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with Alaska alcohol laws, maintaining a welcoming and safe environment, and supporting the manager in achieving sales and operational goals.

Tour logistics supervisor

The Tour Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing answering phone calls and emails from guests, using FareHarbor software to book guests on tours, writing transportation dispatch and helping with dock operations and needed. This role includes supervision of transportation, dock operations, customer service for both cruise line allotments and independent direct bookings. Transportation Logistics Supervisor ensuring high-quality service and operational efficiency. The individual in this role must be organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks and challenges while delivering excellent customer service.  

Transportation operations supervisor - SEASONAL

The Transportation Operations Supervisor oversees daily transportation logistics across Taquan Air, Kawanti Adventures, and independent services while leading a high-performing team. This role develops and maintains procedures for scheduling, safety, and vehicle operations; coordinates closely with dock operations, driver/guides, and tour sites; and supports hiring, training, and communication across departments. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, adaptability, reliable attendance, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have at least two seasons of cruise-line tour experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a clean driving record with the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.

TOur sales agent- SEASONAL

This position is responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service to guests arriving at the cruise ship dock, seeking tours and experiences with Kawanti Adventures. This individual will actively promote available tours, assist guests through the booking process using the FareHarbor Dock system, and ensure a smooth and seamless experience. They will also be required to adhere to company policies, as well as the rules and regulations of the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, the City and Port of Ketchikan.
